OMG Word Professor is another challenging and fun connect-style word-puzzle game in the OMG Word series. As with the other games, the player's task is to earn stars by correctly guessing and connecting letter tiles and words across levels broken into nine chapters.
The player might need to create one word, a list of non-ordered or unrelated words, or a phrase as the task on each level. Although they can start the game in any chapter, they can't proceed through a chapter without correctly guessing words to unlock new levels. If they perform a task correctly, they receive three stars per level to mark their success.
The playfield features white letter tiles at the center of the field. Each tile has a sky blue horizontal accent bar. When the player swipes across the tops of the tiles to create a word, a bright yellow connect line appears. Each tile turns light yellow with a dark yellow accent bar. The player isn't allowed to select the tiles individually. They can only use a swiping motion and a continuous yellow line.
Above the tiles is a timer bar with three brown circles. Each circle represents a star. If the player makes even one small mistake when swiping, such as connecting the wrong order of tiles, choosing the wrong word, or creating words in the wrong order, they automatically lose a star. If they swipe correctly, the game removes the tiles from the field and places the pieces in spaces underneath it.
OMG Word Professor helps the player prevent star loss by allowing them to pay for hints using the points they earn when they win a level. They can also multiply their winnings by watching videos.
