Text Talk is a word game with a talk show theme. The player is prompted by a talk show host to complete grids of words by reordering specific letters for as long as possible across the game's many levels.
The game displays rows and columns of empty cells on the right side of the studio. The available letters appear to the left of this area below an empty horizontal row of cells. The game also offers hint and shuffle buttons on the left side of the screen to help the player solve puzzles faster or when they're having difficulty.
The player must use the available mixed-up letters to guess the words needed to complete the rows and columns. They receive five free hints initially that they can use to fill in one empty cell per hint. They can also use the shuffle button to reorder the letters. Although the shuffle button offers endless reordering, the same option isn't available with the hints button.
Text Talk rewards the player with coins when they correctly solve a row or column that also displays one or more coins. Additionally, the player wins coins when they create words from the letters that aren't part of the puzzle. The player then uses the money to buy hints. They also receive free hints when they watch advertisements.
