Guess Word is a casual word-puzzle game. The player's goal is to fill in the blanks to complete a word by using two or more letter tiles provided by the game at the bottom of each level.
Although the game presents the player initially with easy-to-guess words and in-order missing letter tiles, it makes each level increasingly difficult. The player might need to rearrange the letter tiles to complete a word. For example, if the game presents them with a K tile, a blank space, an I tile, another blank space, an E tile and the letters F and N, the player needs to rearrange the tiles to spell out the word KNIFE.
The player also receives words with a higher number of missing letters. For example, if they receive an F tile, a blank space, an R tile, another blank space, an S tile, another blank space and the letters T, O and E, they need to rearrange the latter tiles to spell out FOREST.
Guess Word doesn't present the player with extremely difficult words. Instead, it uses words that many people commonly use in their daily lives. That said, the game sometimes makes the player guess more than one word in a fashion similar to crossword puzzles. As a result, two words that cross each other share a letter.
When the player does well, the game rewards them with a burst of triangle-shaped confetti, and they progress to the next level.
