Bubble Cats Story is a bubble-popping game that features feline adventures and an animal rescue theme. Anthropomorphic cats Berry, Belle, Ziggy, Smokey and Rita need the player's help across hundreds of levels. The player pops bubbles with projectiles to complete tasks, such as rescuing kittens in bath bubbles after they're catnapped by a villainous octopus and feeding adult cats with special bubble-encased cookies.
The player can only pop clusters of three or more identical bubbles. Instead of a traditional shooter, they direct a character to use projectile bubbles kept in a box on an airship that the cats use to fly from level to level.
The game offers the player several methods for clearing a level faster. They can make more precise shots with a dotted targeting line. They can switch the bubble projectiles. Additionally, they can access power-ups and boosters with the help of other characters. For example, they might feed one of the others enough cookies for that character to access a special ability and generate a booster that pops a large number of mixed bubbles.�
Bubble Cats Story rewards the player with points, stars and coins. The player keeps track of their score at the upper-left corner. They earn the most points when they pop extremely large clusters and perform combination moves in which they successfully hit and pop several clusters in a row without a miss.
