DesignVille: Merge & Design is a business simulation and renovation game that tasks the player with helping professional designer Robin and his friend, Louise, make Robin's design studio a success. The game uses merge mechanics to fund the venture (i.e., clean up and renovate an abandoned, dilapidated house for the new business location and provide similar services for customers).
The player uses a large merge board to merge pairs of identical items to complete orders and earn revenues. They must often progress through an evolution of merges to complete each order. For example, they might merge two cleaning towels to create a sponge and then two sponges to create a handheld scrubber.�
The game supplies the player with objects that generate the initial merge items, such as a backpack and a toolbox. That said, they use one point of energy every time they create an item. As soon as they earn enough money, they're directed to perform renovations via purchase and set up tasks.
DesignVille: Merge & Design features Story and Adventure modes. With Story, the player is directed to unlock new locations (i.e., Front Yard, Studio: Office and Mansion: Garden) by completing merges and renovations. With Adventure, they enjoy unique experiences in Office Party, Garden Party and Designer Tournament areas.
The game offers plenty of rewards. The player can sell unwanted merge items for cash. They receive gifts when they level up or complete specific tasks. They use sunshine stars to level up. They also receive gemstones that they can use to buy energy and items in a shop. Additionally, they can play a minigame called Adventure Park to win prizes.
