The title Bubble Shooter HD writes itself; it is an online game that puts its original counterpart into a high-definition makeover for a much nicer aesthetic than it ever had. While the game may seem fairly self-explanatory at first glance, there are a few aspects of it that are worth delving into beyond the simple mechanics. As far as online games like Bubble Shooter HD are concerned, their quality should match up to what the overall gameplay has to offer with a minimum amount of expectations set. That being said, there are some aspects of the game worth mentioning.
Bubble Shooter HD starts immediately with the game pitting the player against an increasing army of balls. They must aim with their mouse and click to launch the ball at their desired target. While they can gain points and make space by matching more than 3 balls, shooting balls with different colors only adds to the increasing pile on the screen. On a side note, the balls scroll downwards on the screen until they reach the bottom, forcing the player to either play quickly or aim wisely. If they fail to clear a majority of balls, then they end up with a game over. Of note, there is a meter that determines how much progress is made while avoiding any fouls that occur in-game.
There are a few ways to alter the game in terms of functionality as well as cosmetics. The in-game menu lets you customize how you'd want the game to appear by using the red, green, and blue sliders to set the color of the background to appear exactly how you'd want it. Additionally, there is the ability to alter the difficulty of a game, and even disable any sounds as well. However, because this is an online game that's available for free, ads are used during certain parts of the game. Having them appear during a gameplay break is not the issue, but the bigger problem revolves around how they appear during gameplay, and the worst part is they cannot be muted nor skipped.
