OMG! Word Pop is a connect-style word-puzzle game that tasks the player with creating a word, multiple standalone words or a phrase of words by linking colorful letter tiles with lines across 50 increasingly difficult levels. The player earns points for every correct word and up to three golden stars for every completed level.
Each level displays the tiles at the center of the screen against a gradient-blue background. The player reviews their score at the top-left corner. If they want to reload a level or return to the home screen, they use the pause button at the upper-right corner. The game displays the task for a level as empty squares below the tiles.�
The player must guess the word or words and tiles in the correct order. They select each tile separately or select one and use a continuous line across the needed tiles. When they perform this task, the tiles turn dark gray and connect via a light gray line. If they guess the correct first word in a phrase without guessing the correct first letter tile in that word, they must try again. This rule also applies if they guess the wrong first word.�
OMG! Word Pop gives the player a limited amount of time to guess and select tiles on a golden horizontal bar above the tiles. If the player takes too long, they lose the opportunity to earn all the stars. It offers a hint option to help save time, but the player loses 250 points from their score in exchange for each hint.
