Moon Mission is a semi-idle, career management and simulation game that focuses on the work of astronauts, engineers and others that might set up a base on the Moon. It features resource collection, economic trade and construction elements.
On a barren lunar landscape, the player, via an astronaut, must carry fuel in canisters and white construction blocks to empty spaces marked with icons and numbers that match the materials. When they carry enough materials to an area, as indicated by decreasing numbers above the spaces, the game auto-fills it with a semi-idle element that helps make material acquisition and base construction faster.
In the beginning, the player uses free canisters to initially set up a pump to pull fuel from under the Moon's crust. They use additional fuel to set up treadmills with astronauts that help power the pump. They trade fuel with fabricators at a table near the rocket ship to gain access to equipment that can convert the fuel and build white construction blocks.
With the fuel and blocks, the player can further trade for other important base-building structures, such as a greenhouse that produces food for the running astronauts on the treadmills. They can even trade for a unicycle wheel that helps them move around the landscape faster.
Moon Mission provides the player with an additional method to receive a high number of fuel canisters and construction blocks. They can watch an advertisement to trade with an astronaut who stops by now and then via a drop ship.
