Miner Madness Tycoon is an incremental mining game with business ownership and management aspects. The player attempts to grow their recently purchased mining operation. They must hire miners to dig for green crystals, the primary currency, and farm red crystals. They also need to acquire yellow crystals and gain access to special upgrades.
As with most semi-idle games, the player performs the initial tasks and then allows in-game characters or equipment to earn the revenues. The player sets up the miners and waits for the green crystals to increase near the top-left corner. If they leave the browser tab (Away From Keyboard or AFK status), the miners continue to mine crystals. They then use the crystals to level up their miners.
Miner Madness Tycoon features several level-up tools. Lootbox allows the player to use yellow crystals for chances that increase the mine's efficiency and miners' capabilities. Inventory allows them to change and upgrade the miners. Drill makes it possible for them to acquire red crystals via non-idle clicking. With Trophy, they claim achievements. Finally, they can improve miner and drill efficiency with Upgrades. If they're willing to watch ads during play, they can also multiply their earnings.
The game offers a currency exchange option as well. If the player selects the plus (+) sign next to a crystal, they can review and use the exchange options.
