Bitcoin Millionaire is a semi-idle incremental game. The player's goals are to reach the highest possible number of bits, a sub-unit of Bitcoin, and achieve all upgrades. They can track their progress via a horizontal bar with a black-and-white checked flag at the end at the top of the screen below the blue bar that displays the number of bits.
The player starts by repeatedly selecting the Bitcoin coin at the center of the screen. This is the game's version of cryptocurrency mining. The player must earn enough bits to pay for an auto-clicker, which is the first of several upgrades. They must also select the coin repeatedly to earn bit multipliers (X1, X2 and so on). They can track their progress via a vertical bar that fills with red on the right side of the screen.
Bitcoin Millionaire also offers the player extra bits via a prize coin that drops down and across the Bitcoin coin at random intervals. The player must have excellent hand-eye coordination to select the coin before it disappears from the screen.
It's important to note that any player who experiences carpal tunnel or similar conditions might have difficulty achieving multipliers. The game requires the player to continuously click or tap the Bitcoin coin to reach and maintain higher multiplier levels. They must continue non-stop to keep the current level. If they stop for any reason, the game decreases the red bar, and the player loses their multipliers.
