Money Tree 2: Cash Grow Game is an idle game that allows a player to explore what they would do with unlimited wealth. A comet drops an alien money tree seed into a suburban backyard. The player merely needs to collect the money and other forms of wealth that grow on the tree to enjoy an abundance of riches.
The player collects the cash via clicks. Over time, they can increase the tree's rank, size and number of branches, the amount of money produced by the tree, the speed of the accumulation of cash, the amount of money per click and even their fame. The game displays breaking news stories from time to time about the tree's amazing properties. After the tree reaches a certain rank and the player collects a certain amount of wealth, the player can unlock and buy luxury goods, including a pool, a yacht, a mansion, historic monuments, a hot air balloon and even a floating castle.
Money Tree 2 also supplies a power rain that increases the speed of the money's growth on the tree using a multiplier. If the player agrees to watch an advertisement, they can increase the speed from x2 up to x16. They can add a manager to the tree to collect the cash, the tree's fruit and other forms of wealth in a way similar to an autoclicker. Lastly, the game sends a bird flying across the screen carrying cash or diamond bags. The player can use diamonds to hire more managers.
