Going Balls, a three-dimensional, ball-rolling, arcade game, requires a player to skillfully direct a ball on wooden tracks that float in a cloudy sky. The player initially receives a black ball. They can upgrade to a different ball skin with coins, including a watermelon, a baseball, an eyeball and an eight ball.
The player earns money by rolling the ball through coins floating above the track. They also earn coins every time they complete a run or watch an advertisement. Additionally, the game rewards them when they collect three golden keys and open a treasure chest.
As with similar games, Going Balls throws a lot of obstacles at the player. The ball must crash through purple boxes, navigate rotating hammers and other objects and stay away from parts of the track that have missing guardrails. The player can accidentally roll the ball too fast, which can make it shoot over a rail. They can also roll it too slowly, which can make it fall through a hidden gap. They must restart the level if the ball rolls off the track for any reason.
Thankfully, the player receives enough lives that they can have several accidents per level without losing the game. They also receive access to gray plates on the track that create save points. The game even allows them to skip a level for free at any time.
