Block Puzzle Sudoku, or Block Sudoku Puzzle, is a block-puzzle game with a blue-themed, Sudoku-style 9x9 board. The player must form rows, lines and subgrids on the board with polyomino shapes that appear below it. Their goal depends on the game's three play modes (Mission, Daily Challenge and Journey).
With Mission mode, the player must complete different tasks across levels, such as achieving a specific score level each time. With Daily Challenge mode, they must complete a unique Mission-style game each day. The mission task might require them to achieve a specific score, collect a certain number of various multicolored stars on specially labeled blocks, or a fulfill a mix of requirements. Unlike similar games, the player can't complete challenges from previous days. Lastly, with Journey mode, they go on a journey on a map level by level by completing missions.
Block Puzzle Sudoku doesn't feature boosters or a timer. That said, the player receives extra points for combination moves. They must remove more than one row, column or subgrid at a time.
How to play:
Select one of the three modes. Review the requirements for the mode. Move shapes from below the board to the grid. Use the polyomino shapes to start the formation of lines of rows and columns or subgrid blocks. Place a single shape to complete a combination move.
Controls:
Mouse: Click buttons. To align a polyomino shape on the grid, slide the cursor into a position above it by moving the mouse, press the left button, drag the shape to the desired spot, and then stop pressing the button.
Mobile: Tap buttons. To align a polyomino shape on the grid, slide the cursor into a position above it by moving the finger or stylus across the trackpad or touchscreen, press the surface, drag the shape to the desired position, and stop pressing the surface.
