Dino: Merge and Fight is a merge-style war game that features dinosaurs and primitive humans instead of modern armies. On a prehistoric island in the middle of the ocean, two communities of co-existing dinosaurs and humans constantly fight for resources. The player commands the blue community's forces. They must attack the red community's fighters in open areas to guarantee the blue community's supremacy.
The player arranges the units of the blue army on empty cells on a grid-style board near the battlefield. They buy new units with pink scallop-style shells. They can also earn units by watching advertisements. When they have two identical units on the grid, they can merge the units together to create a more powerful one. The game displays the number of merges via blue stars above the heads of the blue fighters.
Dino: Merge and Fight also features powerful secret weapons, such as a meteorite that the player can bring down from the sky to destroy one or more members of the opposing forces. After the player wins a battle, they can also increase their army's units faster by earning five times the number of pink shells via a multiplier if they watch an advertisement.
