Candy Shop Merge is an incremental or clicker-style merge game in which the player creates new candy recipes in a candy shop by merging two of the same types of existing or new candies. They can create a wide range of delicious sweets, including single and multiple hard or soft twist-wrapper, round-striped and marshmallow candies.
The player's main goals, beyond creating as many new candy recipes, are to level up whenever possible to unlock new round-cornered blue spaces in the merge area, actively and passively earn a lot of coins, claim coin rewards for achievements, and buy candies to help complete merges faster.
If the player does nothing, the main bag generator icon, a bag with a countdown clock near the bottom-center of the screen, automatically drops new bags containing candies onto the merge area. All candies also passively generate coins. That said, the player can speed up bag generation by selecting the candy bag generator icon repeatedly. The more advanced candy recipes passively earn the player the most coins.
Candy Shop Merge drops blue bags that randomly produce candy as well. The player also uses their coins to buy any candies they need to complete a merge.
