Gas Station Arcade is a slightly idle business simulation game that tasks a player with reopening, running and managing a gas station store and fueling area. The player's goal is to make enough money to expand the property into a successful business. They must use multitasking, organization and time-management skills to make everything run as efficiently as possible.
The player starts with a small gas station, a few products on a display case, and a fuel truck. They must perform the duties of a stocker and cashier to make enough money to add more products. For example, they grab stock from boxes in a storage area, restock shelves and handle payment transactions. They eventually earn enough money to open fuel pumps and hire a cashier, an assistant and a refueler. That said, they only receive three minutes of help from their workers. They must then watch an advertisement to prompt each employee to continue working. They must also fill in as needed, which means that they might continue stocking shelves or pumping gas while performing managerial upgrades.
Gas Station Arcade highlights locked, expandable areas with ground-level black squares marked with money amounts. The player uses the cash they earn to unlock these areas. They also use it to upgrade the carrying capacity and speed of their avatar and employees.
The game doesn't require restocking the store from multiple storage areas. Instead, the player can use the boxes in one storage zone to place different objects on shelves.
