Block Wood Puzzle 2 is a block puzzle game that features classic wood blocks and a 10x10 board. The player attempts to earn as many points and coins as possible by creating 10-block rows and columns with polyomino shapes. When they complete a line, the game gives them space to continue building additional lines. The game ends when they run out of moves.
Three shapes appear at all times below the board. When the player positions a shape, the game auto-fills the set with a new shape. The game rewards the player with the most points and coins when they perform combination moves that involve completing more than one line at the same time. They must create partial lines and then place one polyomino shape to complete the lines. Unlike many similar games, the player can rotate a shape to fit an empty space. They pay for this option with one coin per rotation.
In Block Wood Puzzle 2, the player also earns coins by completing achievements, playing minigames and watching daily videos. Achievements include completing the tutorial, registering to display the last-best score on the leaderboard, reaching overall line-removal milestones, and completing combos with a specific number of lines.
The game offers three minigames (Guess the Number, Match the Cards and Simon Says). With Guess the Number, the player must guess a three-digit number using the 1 to 9 and 0 keys. With Match the Cards, they turn over eight cards and try to remember icons to match pairs. With Simon Says, they're shown colorful icons rapidly and then must attempt to remember the types, colors and order.
