Merge Diamonds: Treasure! is a Suika merge game that features various types of diamonds instead of classic fruit or other objects. The player's goal is to merge diamonds to evolve the pieces into new types of diamonds, and earn the highest score possible while performing this task.
The game starts with a gradient blue container in front of a dark blue background. The player receives a diamond above a broad, white-dashed line. They drop the diamond. To merge diamonds, they must drop a matching one on top of the one they previously dropped into the container.
Merge Diamonds: Treasure! makes merging difficult by using the explosive force of a merge to catapult the newly created diamond into the air and then back down to the bottom of the container or atop other diamonds. This process can make it difficult for the player to guess where the newly formed diamond might fall or bounce in the container. If they're trying to merge the new one with a previously created matching one, they must accurately guess both the trajectory of the newly formed diamond into the air and the separate direction it might fall or bounce in when it drops. That said, the bounces often result in automatic merges.
The game keeps track of the score and record at the top-left corner. The player loses the game if they allow the diamonds to pile up in the container to the dashed line. They can start over at any time by using the reload button at the top-right corner of the screen.
