Master Gun is a dash-style racing game that features obstacle courses and a shooting element. When the player interacts with the screen, the game automatically starts the dash. Their avatar consists of one or more guns and a hand.
The player must direct their avatar down the track, past obstacles, and through positive and negative gates. After they reach the finish line, their goal is to earn as much money as possible by knocking down barriers with bullets on a multiplier section of track.
During the race, the player attempts to shoot bullets into the chambers on revolver cylinders that float suspended above the racecourse. They must also attempt to shoot criminals so they can retrieve additional cash. When they go through a positive gate, they receive extra firepower to help them go further down the multiplier section. They shoot each barrier until the number displayed on a surface drops to zero. If they reach the end of the section, they can also upgrade their gun.
Master Gun allows the player to level up various areas with coins or by watching ads, including the gun fire rate and range and their income. They can collect a bonus or special permanent upgrades, such as a specific gun, glove or even a cannon, at the end of each race by watching an ad video.
