Football Master is an advertisement-based sports game focused on soccer stunt kicks. The player directs an avatar to kick a soccer ball around or through obstacles to reach the net and make goals. They might also need to kick the ball through a key to collect enough keys to unlock areas.
The player attempts to shoot goals in a city or suburban street, alley or parking lot. They must direct their avatar to perform special maneuvers, such as kicking the ball through hoops or large inner tubes, timing the kick to make the ball fly past moving cutout figures or a car, or curving the ball's trajectory around a tiered platform filled with orange traffic cones.
Football Master gives the player access to other characters. They win or randomly unlock new characters. The game also offers new balls that have special powers. For example, the player might unlock a bomb that catches fire and explodes.
That said, the game has a heavy advertising focus as well. The player must watch ads to claim a coin multiplier, claim a character that they've won, skip a level and even unlock new modes (Shoot & Catch and Shooting Race). In some cases, they must watch an ad and spend money to upgrade to a different character or ball.
