Bubble Up is a bubble-shooting game with a bubblegum pink title and a forest backdrop. It challenges the player to shoot a mix of colored bubbles hanging in rows from the top of the playfield with a ring shooter.
The player can only burst two or more bubbles that match the main projectile in the shooter at the bottom-center of the screen. The shooter displays the current and next projectiles along with the number of available projectiles. The player can swap the two projectiles to shoot more efficiently. If they run out of projectiles, they can earn a set of five additional ones by watching an advertisement.
When the player clears the field, they receive up to three golden stars and points. The game counts the remaining projectiles and rewards a high number of points for every bubble the player didn't have to shoot.
Bubble Up helps the player win in a variety of ways. It provides a color-matched laser targeting line just as the player shoots to help them learn how to align a shot better the next time. The player can also unlock boosters, including a black bomb and a pink-and-white striped rocket, after they reach specific levels. They don't need to buy new ones. The game charges the boosters during play.
It also generously rewards the player with two types of gifts (the Stars Gift and the Bubbles Gift). The rewards become available after the player collects a specific number of stars and bubbles.
