2048: 3D Cube is a three-dimensional 2048 merge game. The player's goal is to merge pairs of cubes marked with matching numbers to evolve the pieces into higher-numbered cubes until they reach a cube that displays 2048. They also attempt to earn a high score.
The player releases round-cornered, three-dimensional cubes onto a tabletop that has side walls. When a cube slides into a matching one, the two cubes merge. For example, a 2 cube and a 2 cube create a 4 cube.�
2048: 3D Cube makes gameplay challenging by using the force of a merge to cause a newly created cube to fly up into the air and then drop and bounce around anywhere on the table. As a result, the player can't always anticipate the outcome of a merge. If they're attempting to merge to create a cube that matches the number of a nearby one, they might fail because of the actions of the newly formed cube.
That said, the game also offers helpful boosters. A bomb cube removes a cube in the way. A rainbow cube automatically matches the number of a cube it slides into when released onto the table.
