Chain Cube 2048 is a cube-themed, merge-puzzle game that combines elements of the similar "2048" sliding-tile game with bowling!
The player's primary objective is to merge and add together low-numbered cubes to create high-numbered ones until they eventually create a cube that features the number 2048. Although the word "chain" is in the title, it's a misnomer. The player doesn't have to chain any cubes. Instead, they must propel projectile cubes at other cubes on a playfield similar to a bowling lane. The projectile cube bounces off or merges with another cube as it slides down the lane.
Cubes bounce around the lane like dice realistically, which means the player must aim precisely and carefully to make certain that they always hit the correct cube. They also need to sometimes fire projectile cubes in rapid succession to knock away or merge rolling and bouncing nearby cubes that might otherwise become obstacles. The player can use bombs to clear away one or more unwanted cubes and boosters that double the amount of any cube upon impact. The player earns points that they can also use to acquire additional bombs and boosters.
The game doesn't stop at 2048. Once the player achieves that goal, they can create a dark purple 4096 cube, a dark green 8192 cube and so on until they reach a special Max Cube level. The player loses a game if they can't prevent cubes from piling up or bouncing back across the four-dashed horizontal red line.
