Mrs. Vendeland's Mahjong is a casual tile-matching game similar to classic Mahjong that features yellow tiles marked with everyday items associated with an older woman named Mrs. Vendeland. The player's goal is to remove all tiles from a sky blue playfield framed with a purple border before a five-minute timer runs out of time. The game offers 50 unique Mahjong-style games.
The player can only remove tiles in pairs that display identical images. Items Mrs. Vendeland uses include outfit items (i.e., gloves, hats, jackets, jewels, makeup, perfumes, purses, scarves, shoes, sunglasses, swimwear and tops) and home d�cor and other items (i.e., different flowers, jewelry display pieces, pets and vases). The player can only select unlayered tiles with free sides. The game covers non-free tiles with shadows.
When the player removes a pair of tiles, white, four-point diamond-style stars appear on the screen. When they clear the entire playfield, the white stars burst across it. The player also receives a score that they can attempt to increase with each new level. Every level challenges the player with more items and tiles.
Mrs. Vendeland's Mahjong offers a hint button marked with a lightbulb icon as well. When the player uses it, the game highlights two random, identical tiles with a bright yellow color and then rotates them side to side. If the player needs additional hints, they must watch advertisements.
