The Mystery Mansion is a hidden-object, mystery game in which the player's primary task is to help the main character, Annie, reveal her family's secrets after she inherited an old mansion from her Aunt Elizabeth. To unlock each level of the game, the player must find a variety of hidden objects in different, messy, outdoor areas and indoor rooms. Each scene displays a static background with scattered items everywhere. The game presents objects that the player must find in five gold-framed, purple boxes at the bottom center of the screen. Objects in the rooms don't match real-world sizes or shapes. The player might find them miniaturized, oversized, hidden behind other objects, sideways or upside down. During gameplay, the player receives coins for their efforts that they can use to pay for hints and additional time. They also receive up to three gold, double, achievement stars.
How to play:
Locate and retrieve hidden objects in a scene before the hourglass timer runs out. Never select the wrong object since doing so removes time from the timer. Use the magnifying-glass button and the clock-face button to retrieve a hint about an object's location or add time to the timer, respectively.
Controls:
Mouse: Click the object that matches one of the objects presented in the gold-framed boxes to collect it. To have the game reveal the location of an object, click the button marked with the magnifying glass and a large magnifier will appear onscreen. After the first free hint, click the button again, click the coin icon below "Get a Hint?" on the screen that pops up to pay for one, and then re-click the magnifying-glass button after the game automatically returns to the scene.
Mobile: To retrieve a hidden object, tap it once with the tip of a finger or touchscreen stylus. To use any onscreen button, tap it with a fingertip or stylus.
