Bubble Shooter Valentine is a bubble-popping game that features artwork and graphics based on Valentine's Day, including a gradient pink background with outlined and solid hearts, flare lighting effects, and a picture of a cherub. The player attempts to earn as many points as possible by clearing the background of nine rows of clear, colored-heart bubbles using an arrow-style shooter that features a dark red heart at the tip.
The player receives one projectile at a time at the base of the shooter. They also receive a preview to the far left of five white bubbles in a row that provide the player with five penalty-free mistakes. Once they make a sixth mistake, the game resets these bubbles with one less and slides another row onto the field as a penalty. It also rolls the bubbles slightly out of their previous positions, which forces the player to reconsider their strategy.
Gameplay is typical for bubble shooters. The player must create lines and groups of matching bubbles by shooting their projectiles at matching connected bubbles. They also earn points when they perform an avalanche move that pops bubbles connected below a line or group.
Bubble Shooter Valentine displays the score at the upper-right corner. The player loses their points if they allow the bubbles to roll to the bottom of the screen, unless they agree to watch an advertisement to continue their game.
