KrisMas Mahjong 2 is a connect tile-matching game with a Christmas and winter holiday theme. The player's goal is to remove all the tiles before time runs out in Classic and Relax modes.
Although the game's instructions describe the Relax mode as offering a larger grid, more tiles and randomized level access opportunities, it's important to note that the Relax mode actually displays a small grid and Classic the large one. Other than this one issue, the game is fairly straightforward.
The player accesses the horizontal-shaped grid and seasonal images in either mode. From the start, they can also access levels of the game via present icons on an advent calendar. Either way, to the left of the grid is a red-and-white striped vertical candy cane timer with a red wind-up alarm clock at the base. The festive pictures include brass bells, Christmas cookies, elves, ice skates, letters, mittens, nutcracker soldiers, party poppers, pinecones, presents, scarves, snowflakes, snowman, snow globes, stars, teddy bears, tree ornaments and wreaths.
KrisMas Mahjong 2 requires the player to match pairs of identical images. With every match, the player receives a few seconds restored on the timer. If they have difficulty finding a match, they can use up to three hints via a magnifier icon on the right side of the screen. If they run out of time or want to start over, they can use the pause button to access a reload button or return to the home screen.
When the player clears away the pictures, they receive points and fireworks and then advance to the next level. Additionally, they sometimes receive a green scroll that unwinds to reveal a holiday wish.
