Crystal Connect is a connect-style tile-matching game that features crystals on a stone grid rather than traditional tiles. A dragon invasion has destroyed a village. The villagers ask the player, as the hero of the story, to help them collect crystals to rebuild their homes and other structures. The player can only perform this task by completing matches of identical pairs of crystals using connect rules.
The player starts by choosing to keep the game-generated name or inputting a custom one. They then receive access to the grid and crystals. They must clear the entire grid with matching moves. That said, they can't pair any side-by-side, stacked, edge or gap-separated crystals by color (i.e., clear, amber, blue, green, orange, pink, purple and red) if the crystals connect by more than three lines or two 90-degree angles of lines. When the player clears enough grids, they receive points and a treasure chest. The game also auto-repairs one of the structures in the village. The player can multiply their winnings with ad views.
Crystal Connect provides hint, shuffle and add-time tools to find matching pairs faster and make connections easier. The player only needs to use the last tool if they run out of gold fill in the left vertical timer bar.�
It's important to note that the game hinders the player's progress on some levels via logic puzzles. For example, the game sometimes presents blocked crystals that the player must unblock or slides crystals into new positions after the removal of a pair.
