Impossible Date is a logic puzzle game that requires the player to solve riddles and brain teasers related to various relationship scenarios. The game is divided into levels that are only accessible via a colorful, five-slice lucky spin wheel that's managed by an avatar that the player selects from 10 available options.
The player is presented with issues related to dating, marriage, couples and romance, such as bad date selections, cheating, jealousy and vanity. In many instances, the game asks the player to help them resolve differences between a man and woman so that the couple stay together.
There are also scenarios in which the couple might be on the verge of breaking up, which means that the player must find a way to keep them together. For example, the player might direct a man to give a woman his jacket during a date or turn on an air conditioner to make a room so cold that it forces an angry couple to share heat and snuggle on a couch. The game might also ask the player to try to help parents cope with a crying baby.
That said, Impossible Date doesn't only focus on saving a relationship. It might ask the player to ruin a date, wedding or other event. It might also reveal that a relationship is doomed because one or both people have severe mental health or other problems.
