Billionaires Quiz is a timed quiz game that tests a player's knowledge of a wide range of facts. The player earns in-game money for every correct answer. If they answer incorrectly, they lose the game and must attempt to earn more than their last winnings. Their ultimate goal is to make enough money to become a virtual billionaire!
The game presents the player with a question and four answers. They have only 30 seconds to answer the question correctly. If they do so, they win the monetary prize displayed near the top-center of the screen and move onto the next 30-second round. The game might ask the player business, cultural, entertainment, geographic, historical or political questions. For example, it might ask the color of a label on the bottle of a particular brand of soda or the first name of a classical pianist.
If the player fails to answer a question correctly, Billionaires Quiz gives them an opportunity to keep playing without starting over. They merely need to watch an advertisement video. Otherwise, they try again with a $1,000 question. The game's 10 rounds start at the $1,000 mark and end with $1,000,000. The questions become increasingly difficult as the player approaches the top prize round.
The game gives the player several lifeline-style tools. They can use a button marked with squares to rule out two answers the first time and then one answer the second time. They can use a button marked with a graduation cap to ask for an answer from an AI professor. A button marked with people allows the player to ask for help from a virtual crowd.
