Sort It is a sorting game with classic colored water and test tube elements. The player uses common-sense logic and reasoning to determine the best order to use to sort colored bands of water across test tubes so that each container only has one color within it. They can't proceed to the next level unless they successfully complete the current one.
The player sorts and transfers one color at a time. They can only transfer a liquid to an empty container or on top of a band of water that matches. They can use an undo button at the bottom-middle of the screen to correct a mistake up to five times. The game also supplies them with a hint button and a container generation button. The player must watch ads to continue to use the buttons after they use their free turns.
As with similar games, Sort It increases the number of test tubes and colored bands as the player progresses through the levels. When the player does well by filling a single test tube with only one color of water, confetti shoots into the air. When one or two colors remain at the end of a level, the game automatically pours the water into the correct tube or tubes, a horn sounds and people cheer.
