Pixel Brick Breaker, also known as Brick Breaker, is an arcade-style brick-breaking game with classic and unique elements. The player receives a horizontal light blue paddle and a small white ball. Their goal is to bounce balls against colored, numbered bricks repeatedly to reduce the numbers until the bricks disappear from the playfield. They can hit the bricks directly or bounce the ball off the side walls.
The "pixel" in this game refers to pixelated artwork created against the two-tone gray grid-style playfield with the bricks. Each level features a cute image that the player must remove from the field via the brick-breaking action. The images include a cat, mushroom, chicken, frog, beverage, present, camera, vampire, dolphin, cow, football, hamburger, slice of cake and even a Mario-like character.
Pixel Brick Breaker challenges the player with a five-minute timer. It also shortens the width of the paddle over time. That said, the game offers powerups that fall out of the broken bricks. When the player slides the paddle under one of the falling icons, they receive special powers, including the ability to fire fast blue balls, fireballs and short purple laser blasts. They can also collect hearts that allow them to play longer.
