Papa's Wingeria is a restaurant-simulation game that focuses on the sale of chicken wings and sides. Papa Louie and another character, Foodini, show up at the home of Chuck, Mandy or a custom worker designed by the player. They announce that the character has won a paid trip to Starlight City. When they arrive, they're presented with a giant slot machine, which is a part of a promotional campaign. Papa Louie wants them to work at his Papa's Wingeria restaurant to help him make it a success.
The player's avatar works alone at the order, fry, sauce and build stations. They're responsible for the management and running of the restaurant. They must multitask to take, prepare and serve orders quickly enough to keep customers happy. They need to also make certain that they cook the meat properly, add the right type and amount of sauce and plate the ingredients correctly.
Their primary goal is to earn tips and great reviews. They also earn tickets to use in Foodini's Mini Game Show to win items that they can use in the restaurant, including furniture, posters, wallpaper and flooring that are transferred from their winnings to in an in-game inventory. They can use tips to buy decorations as well. Additionally, they attempt through their performance to host a parade on the main street.
