Papa's Pancakeria, a food-service simulation game, tasks a player with running a restaurant establishment that sells pancakes. The player's avatar, Cooper or Prudence, drives with their pet to a Papa's Pizzeria to grab a pie. When the pet sees a squirrel and chases after it, they lose it. After posting flyers, they receive word from Papa Louie that he found their pet. He invites them to meet at his Papa's Pancakeria in Maple Mountain. When the character arrives, they learn that Papa needs a favor and wants them to manage his restaurant.
As with other Papa's restaurant games, the player via their avatar must handle orders, grilling, plating and serving food, and accepting payments from customers. Their main objective is to receive the highest tips and best customer reviews possible. They must learn how to multitask so that they don't take too long with orders. The customers leave low tips and poor reviews if they don't cook the pancakes correctly or fail to use the right type or amount of toppings.
The player uses their tips to improve the Pancakeria's stations and lobby and their wardrobe by purchasing items in the upgrade and furniture shops. They also receive tickets that allow them to play mini games that award them with items.
