Papa's Bakeria is a time-management simulation game that focuses on food service and restaurant management. One of three characters, Timm, Cecelia or a player-designed one, applies for their dream job at a Whiskfield Mall store. When they're picked for the job, they relocate to start their new career. Yet the store is closed when they arrive at the mall. Papa Louie then surprises them with a job at his new Bakeria.
Once again, Papa Louie has manipulated an unsuspecting job seeker to take over one of his franchise locations! The player has no choice but to take the job. They must perform all duties to build up customer interest and revenues, including taking orders at the order station, building custom pies at the build station, baking pies at the bake station, finishing orders with toppings at the top station, and taking payments.
The player tries to earn excellent customer reviews and high tips, in addition to their weekly pay, to receive promotions from their initial Newbie title to new designations like Fudge Fanatic, Pie Decorator, Meringue Master and Banana Buddy. Each promotion also gives them access to new customers, an extra employee, new pie fillings and toppings, and even money to upgrade the restaurant.
Papa's Bakeria supplies the player with tickets that they can use to pay to play side games in Foodini's daily Mini Game Show as well. They receive clothes and other prizes and participate in a parade in front of the mall.
