Race
Drag Racing City is a rival-battle racing game set in urban locations across four maps that represent four separate tiers of play. The player receives a base vehicle on a lease. They're mentored by a character, Amie, who the game refers to as their long-time friend. Their primary objective is to compete in rival drag races with Amie and different bosses across the city. Their secondary objective is to use cash winnings to upgrade their vehicle's tires, power, nitro, transmission, weight, grip and paint.
The player must prime their vehicle at the start of the race using the gas pedal to make certain that they have enough speed to advance beyond the other vehicle and stay well beyond it until they reach the finish line. They also receive access to nitro. That said, Drag Racing City's vehicle power system presents a difficult challenge. The player must wait for the shift gauge to reach green before they can shift gears. If they fail to shift quickly enough, they lose power and fall behind the other vehicle.
How to play:
Follow Amie's instructions for using the gas pedal at the start of a race. Use the nitro and shift buttons next to the odometer while racing to improve the outcome. Upgrade the vehicle with the cash winnings. To receive even more money, watch advertisements.
Controls:
Keyboard: To use the gas pedal, use the Spacebar key. To use the nitro boost, press N.
Mouse: To use the pedal or any button, click it. To use nitro, click the arrow button to the left of the odometer. To shift, click the arrow button to the right of the odometer when it's in the green.
Mobile: To use the pedal or any button, tap it. To use nitro, tap the left onscreen arrow button. To shift, wait for the gauge to reach green, and then tap the right arrow button.
