Racing Horizon is a cityscape-racing game that gives the player four options to test their abilities in realistic conditions. Road hazards include traffic, pedestrians, lighting, construction, road maintenance and bad weather.
Across four modes (Mission, Endless, Time Up and Escape), the player handles a souped-up car starting with a base model that they upgrade in various ways. They can swap vehicles and paint, tune chips and adjust braking and handling. The player receives money in the form of coins at the end of a level or mode that they apply to upgrades.
The player's main goal is to reach a finish line or keep driving without crashing into other vehicles. In some modes, they must also complete one or more tasks, beat a stopwatch or stay ahead of police.
The customizations in Racing Horizon don't end with the car. The player can customize traffic type for one or two-way flow, lighting for daytime or nighttime, weather to sunny, rainy, snowy or foggy, and roads to reflect a city, snow, desert or even space!
How to play:
Customize the base car. Adjust the racing conditions, as desired. Pick a mode, and race to win coins or gauge driving ability. Never crash into anyone or allow them to hit the car. Upgrade the vehicle.
Controls:
Keyboard: Racing Horizon primarily requires the use of a keyboard. To accelerate a little or a lot, press W or Up Arrow. To steer between two or more lanes, press A or Left Arrow to move left or D or Right Arrow to move right. To decelerate or make a sudden stop, press S or Down Arrow. To use the nitrous oxide, press N. To change the camera view from behind the car to the interior or exterior driver's side, press C.
It's important to note that the player can press two keys at the same time to accelerate or maintain or decrease speed while shifting lanes.
Mouse: Click onscreen buttons and text to make selections.
Mobile: Tap the screen or trackpad to make selections.
