Autumn Solitaire Tripeaks is a fall-themed version of Triple or Tri Peaks Solitaire. The home screen artwork features a New England or European look. On the game screen, the background depicts different colors and types of trees or buildings and trees with large white clouds and birds in the distance.
The player's goal is to remove all cards from the field using Tri Peaks rules before the green color on a vertical timer bar on the right side of the screen falls below the first of three stars or disappears entirely. With the former outcome, the player fails to gather all three gold stars per level. With the latter, they lose the game. When they perform well, they earn gold coins and then move on to the next game.
The rules of the game require the player to select a face-up card on the field that matches the next highest or lowest card in relation to the face-up draw pile card. For example, if they receive a 10 card, then they need to select or find a 9 or J card. If they can't find one, they must select draw pile cards until they find a match or use a Joker as a wild card. They receive Jokers any time they complete a streak of consecutive matches, as represented at the top-right corner with dots.
Autumn Solitaire Tripeaks also features booster cards that remove other cards from the field faster. For example, a Zap card acts like a horizontal rocket and removes all face-up cards in a row; a Boom card removes all face-up cards around it; a leaf card randomly removes a face-up card; and a bullseye target card allows the player to target a specific card with a crosshair. The game also features various challenges. For example, it might hide a face-up card behind another face-up card or suddenly switch the types of face-up cards available.
