Cube Snake 2048 is a snake game that features cubes instead of normal snake bodies and 2048-style merge mechanics. The player enters a battle arena with a cube that starts the head of the snake. They then direct the cube to collect additional random cubes and eventually the cubes of smaller snakes to merge matching cubes and create a larger snake. With each merge, they also get closer to creating the elusive 2048 snake head. Their secondary goal is to keep their snake alive for as long as possible.
The player starts by entering a custom name or accepting the provided one. If they're willing to watch a video, they can start out with a 32 cube instead of a base 2 cube. In the arena, they must direct the cube to immediately merge with a nearby 2 cube to create a larger 4 cube, and then merge and collect additional cubes. The cubes that they can't immediately merge with their snake become part of its body and tail.
At all times, the player must direct their snake to stay away from snakes with cube heads that display a higher number. If they accidentally touch one of these snakes, they lose the game.�They must then watch a video to continue or start over.
Cube Snake 2048 offers flame boosters that can make the player's snake slither across the arena faster, which is a great option when directing it to flee from a larger snake.
The game displays the player's survival time near the upper-left corner. It also displays their number of kills.
