Magic Towers Solitaire, also known as Tri Towers, is a Tri Peaks card game. The player's goal is to remove all cards from the playfield as quickly as possible. If they perform this task successfully, the three parts of a large castle appear on the screen with magic in a wildflower meadow in a forest near a river with snow-capped mountains in the distance.
The rules of classic Tri Peaks solitaire require the player to review an initial face-up draw card to the right of layered horizontal draw face-down cards and then pick the next high or low card from the face-up cards layered below three peaks or "towers" of face-down cards. For example, if the face-up draw card is a 2, then they must find a 3 or an A (ace). If they can't find a card, they must then select the first face-down draw card and keep selecting until they find one that works.
Tri Towers also offers an Undo button and a Wild Card. If the player thinks they can make a better move, they can undo their last selection. If they can't find a card, they can use the Wild Card as a replacement. The game only makes these options available once.
In terms of scoring, the player earns points for every removed card and a time bonus for moving quickly through the game. They earn the highest score when they play continuously without using the Undo or Wild Card options.
