The Amazing World of Gumball Candy Chaos, also known as Gumball Candy Chaos, is a bubble-shooting game produced for Cartoon Network that features Gumball, Darwin and other characters from the Amazing World of Gumball (TAWOG or Gumball) animated series. The player directs Gumball to toss pieces of candy at rows of ring-shaped, striped and swirled candies at the top of the screen in front of their bedroom bunkbed and door.
The player must usually complete match-3 lines and destroy or drop all the candies, remove rotten pieces of food hidden among the candies, reach the top of the screen with their projectile candies and boosters, or achieve a specific points level. The game tracks the player's progress via a horizontal progress bar that features smiling stars and a golden fill line.
Although a toss game, Gumball Candy Chaos features many tools found in bubble shooters. The player can select a double-arrow button to swap candy projectiles. They can use a targeting line to help them direct the tosses. They also receive fun boosters, including bombs, rainbow candies that act like bombs, and double-arrow bombs that explode with a horizontal line to the left and right or a vertical line that extends up and down. If they hit one bomb with a different type, then two types of explosions can happen at the same time.
After the player completes the level task, they receive a red celebratory banner with up to three smiling yellow stars bouncing against it.
