Farming 10x10 is a block puzzle game with a farming theme. The main screen displays a large farm with a house, a barn and a windmill in a valley between mountains. The player's goal is to create rows and columns of blocks on a 10x10 checkerboard designed to look like a recently tilled field. They use green polyomino shapes, three at a time, located below the field.
When the player places the shapes on the board, the flat green surfaces transform into crops such as corn cobs, eggplants, tomatoes and flowers. When the player completes a row or column with 10 blocks from these shapes, a farmer harvests the crops with a red tractor. The game prepares the products for market and places the crates on the back of a truck.
Farming 10x10 displays the player's score to the left of a gold trophy at the top center of the screen above the field. If the player runs out of moves, they can replay and attempt to beat their last-best score, which appears to the right of the trophy.
As with many similar games, the player earns the most points if they remove more than one row or column at a time. They perform this task by partially completing lines with the shapes and then using one last shape to complete more than one line. When they're successful, multiple farmers run their tractors down the rows and columns to harvest the crops.
