Daily Difference is a timed find-the-difference game that features daily challenges. The player must find the elements in one image that are different from another almost identical image. Although the images and theme change every day, the player always searches for 10 differences between the images. The game displays the number of discovered differences on a sign at the top center of the play area.
The game's main theme is a coffee shop that displays information on a wood-framed pin board and black chalkboard signs. Each day, the game posts that day's theme and the date on the pin board. The images match the theme. The player must find all 10 differences using a magnifying glass icon cursor for selections as quickly as possible to achieve the highest possible score. If they find every difference in 90 seconds or less, they receive a time bonus.
The differences between images vary widely. An item in one image might be missing a piece that's visible in the other image. The player might find extra items or even entirely different objects.
Daily Difference penalizes the player for making incorrect guesses and using the hint button. It adds 5 seconds to the time, which lowers the score, if the player makes an incorrect guess. It adds 30 seconds if they use the hint button. They also lose the time bonus.
When the player finishes the daily challenge, they don't need to wait for the next one on the following day. They can play the seven previous day's games.
