Bomb It 8 is the eighth game in the popular Bomb It online multiplayer strategy series. A player, via their avatar, hunts and kills the avatars of as many opponents as possible in arena-style mazes in six locations. They fight primarily with bombs, collect and take advantage of useful items, and complete missions.
The game features four modes: Arcade, Weapons Only, Coin Collection and Capture the Flag. The player starts out with an avatar and an unlocked location. They use gold coins and stars that they collect or win to eventually unlock all the modes, face, head and hat alterations, additional characters, new bombs and different vehicles. They can earn alterations or multiply their winnings by watching advertisements.
The player directs their avatar around or through obstacles, such as car tires, wooden crates and fir trees, to reach their objectives. To destroy these obstacles and gain access to powerups, tools, other weapons and vehicles in floating bubbles, they place bombs. Anything they collect can help them move and take out more of their opponents faster, including a power-up that allows them to jump over obstacles and a flame thrower that burns through several obstacles at once. They can also pick up extra lives. They must stay away from other avatars and weapons or risk losing a fight.
Bomb It 8 also offers daily rewards and missions. The player receives rewards for achieving certain tasks, such as reaching a specific number of kills, bomb placements, flag captures and consecutive matches without dying. The game tracks these statistics and others.
