Bomb It 4 is the fourth Bomberman-inspired game in the popular Bomb It series. The player directs one of six robot avatars to complete specific tasks standalone or against a second player across levels in Arcade, Battle Royale, Coin Collection and Tile Tag modes. They win points and unlock robot clothing when they complete the task for a specific level and reach a specific score.
The robots include the classic blue design, a pink princess, a futuristic green biker, an angry orange muscle builder, a purple sailor girl, and a black-haired whirlwind superhero. The player selects a robot and then personalizes the number of players, the number of enemies, the number of levels, the arena type and the difficulty level.
As with previous installments, the player must kill all enemies, kill 10 enemies, collect 10 coins or color 50 tiles, depending on the mode, before the CPU or a real-world opponent. They perform this task by placing bombs to blast away objects and kill their enemies and by collecting helpful tools. With the latter, they can gain a bomb, invincibility, life, a power blast or a shield, push a bomb, and increase the robot's speed by 10%. Weapons include a boxing glove, a rocket launcher, a flamethrower, a laser gun, a hammer, ninja stars and a grenade. Available vehicles include a pogo stick, a magic carpet, a snowmobile and a dinosaur.
Bomb It 4 also helps the player move faster through a level and surprise attack enemies via teleportation portals.
