Bomb It 2 is the second installment of the popular Bomb It series. The player directs a robot to use bombs and other weapons to perform tasks to help them win across four game modes (Arcade, Weapons Only, Collect the Coins and Color the Tiles) and three difficulty levels. They must compete against either game-created opponents or another player and earn the highest point score possible.
The player starts by selecting the blue robot from the first game, a pink princess robot, an angry orange robot, or a green biker robot. They then customize the number of enemies and levels and the arena type. In all modes, they earn points and attempt to complete their task before their opponent by directing their robot to place bombs to kill enemies, destroy items and collect power-ups, weapons and vehicles. In Arcade mode, they must kill all enemies. In Weapons Only mode, they must kill 10 enemies. In Collect the Coins, they must collect 10 coins. In Color the Tiles, they must color 50 tiles.
With power-ups, the player can gain a bomb, power blast, life, shield or invincibility, increase their robot's speed by 10%, and push a bomb. They can kill enemies and clear items with a double shotgun, a rocket launcher, a flamethrower, a laser gun, a hammer, a land mine or a remote bomb. They can direct their robot to move faster with a bulldozer, a race car or a frog.
Bomb It 2 applies bonus points based on different factors, including the number of objects destroyed, collected items and enemies killed.
