BFFs High School: First Date Look is a paper doll dress-up game based on a "Best Friends Forever" first date theme. While chatting online, four of six high school friends realize they have dates at the same time during the upcoming weekend. Each girl needs the player's help to prepare the perfect look for their first date.
The player can only help one girl at a time. In the first level of the game's six levels, the player only receives access to five out of six categories of items (earrings, necklaces, eyewear, purses, hairstyles and outfits). They must watch an advertisement to unlock one category. That said, none of the other levels feature this requirement.
Unlike similar games, the player can't change a girl's makeup or hair color or mix and match individual outfit pieces (i.e., tops and bottoms, jackets, belts, et cetera). They must stick to the few options available in each category. That said, each girl's closet offers different look options based on their skin tone, hair color and personality. The player can also keep a girl in her initial casual outfit and add accessories to dress it up instead of selecting an outfit.
BFFs High School: First Date Look displays the final looks of the girls in pairs. It doesn't offer a camera or download options, which means that the player must quickly take a screenshot or use a snip tool to save their favorite ones to share with others or use as inspiration for a wardrobe update or an upcoming date.
