Rabbids Wild Race is a multiplayer, jetpack-racing, endless-running platformer that pits players from around the world against each other in a side-scrolling, mountainous landscape. A player's primary objective is to collect as many coins and stars as possible and proceed as far as possible during the race while trying to prevent other players and NPCs from killing them.
The player's Rabbid starts with a basic jetpack. As the player earns or wins coins and stars, they can upgrade the Rabbid with new outfits and gear, including enhanced armor that blocks hits from other players. The player collects coins by jumping or flying into them where they hang in the air just above the ground or high in the sky and by stealing other Rabbid's coins. They can also use boosters, such as a Magnet Booster that automatically attracts coins in an idle fashion.
The player must avoid all threats during the race, including other players attempting to jump on them, flamethrower-wielding Rabbids at ground level and floating, vertical energy fields. If the player does well during a race, their score will appear high on leaderboards. The game has daily, weekly, all time, territory and worldwide leaderboards.
