Ice Cream Roller is a dash racing game. The player directs a round scoop of ice cream down a striped conveyor belt or work zone designed to look like an obstacle race course. Their goal is to make the scoop as large and yummy as possible for a figure waiting at the end of the conveyor.
The course features long strips of flat ice cream or the tops of ice cream containers embedded into the racetrack. It also features a wide selection of whole fruits, including blueberries, cherries, bananas, kiwis, oranges and strawberries. The player directs the movement of the ball of ice cream left, center and right through these areas to collect pieces of the toppings.
At the end of the course, the ice cream ball rolls across a black-and-white checkered finish line into a multiplier zone. It then rolls onto a cone that the figure picks up and eats.
Ice Cream Roller features many classic dash racing obstacles and traps. Stationary and moving objects reduce the size of the scoop of ice cream. If the player allows it to become too small, they must either watch an ad video to continue the race or start over.
