Happy Boss Pull the Pin is a physics-based logic-puzzle game. The boss in a modern high-rise office that features cubicles and an incredible city view via a wall of windows becomes happiest when he receives a reward of diamonds. Across dozens of levels, the player pulls golden pins and performs other actions to make the boss happy. They also direct the boss and other objects to prevent the boss from coming to harm.
As with classic pull-the-pin games, the player must pull one or more pins to drop diamonds from a higher point on the screen down to the boss. When this happens successfully, the boss automatically walks toward the riches. The player must also contend with various threats, including lava balls and arrow shooters that can kill the boss. If a level features both threats, they can use the lava to destroy a shooter. The player can also direct the boss to move left or right away from threats and toward diamonds on some levels.
Happy Boss Pull the Pin also features non-golden pins that cause other actions. For example, the player can select a blue pin to make it act like a platform elevator that takes the boss up to the diamonds or directs him down to floor level from a higher position. It also features purple flip-bar pins. Other unique qualities include acid that can destroy pins and kill the boss and portals that make it possible for the player to direct him from one location to another.
If any level proves too difficult, the player can reload it without paying a penalty. If they want to skip it, they merely need to watch an ad video.
